Abraham Washington Scolded By WWE Officials Over Remark Made During RAW Tonight
WWE officials were livid when Abraham Washington made a comment during the match between Kofi Kingston and Titus O’Neil on RAW that referenced the topic of rape and one in particular, Triple H, scolded him over the matter once he returned to the backstage area.
As of writing, a decision has not been made in regards to what punishment Washington will receive over his remark during the show, but the expectation is that he will be left off with a warning and a hefty fine. He will also be issuing a public apology within the coming days.
UPDATE: Moments after our story was published, Washington posted his apology on Twitter, saying, “I would like to apologize to all the #WWEUniverse for my inappropriate and insensitive remark. I went too far with that joke.#NotFunny!! There was no malicious intent behind the joke. It was either a Kobe or Lebron joke. Lebron jus won the Finals so there you have it..”
