Scary Incident Involving WWE Hall Of Famer Transpires During RAW
WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler was taken to the backstage area after collapsing at ringside during the tag team match between the team of Daniel Bryan and Kane against Darren Young and Titus O’Neil of the Prime Time Players.
According to fans in attendance, Lawler started convulsing under the announce table while the match was going on and medical personal had to step in and assist him to the back while things were slowed down in the ring due to the sudden incident.
Michael Cole addressed his partner’s situation live on the air, saying that CPR is being performed on Lawler backstage and then later mentioned that Lawler was in a local hospital on an oxygen tank but breathing. Later, Cole said Lawler is starting to be more responsive.
As the show was going off the air, Cole delivered one final update on Lawler as promised, saying that his condition is now stable and he will be undergoing a CAT scan in the coming moments. Cole said WWE.com will have updates all week on Lawler.
