*SPOILERS* SmackDown Taping Results For This Friday, 10/5
SmackDown (Airing October 5th on SyFy):
* The show opened with a recap of what transpired on RAW Monday in the World Heavyweight Championship Debate between Big Show and World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus.
* Big Show and World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus had another confrontation in the ring, with Sheamus saying may the best man win at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view when the title is on the line. Sheamus offered a hand shake, but Show declined and left the ring.
* As Show was heading up the ramp, a video of Daniel Bryan cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase on Show at TLC last year and winning the World Title was shown. Show then returned to the ring in an angry fashion and offered a hand shake himself, but this time Sheamus was the one to leave the ring.
* Darren Young and Titus O’Neil b. Kofi Kingston and R-Truth when Young hit a cross body on Truth to advance in the Tag Team Tournament. The Prime Time Players will face Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara in the semi-finals.
* It is announced that World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus will take on WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz in a Champion vs. Champion match later tonight.
* Ryback b. Primo w/Epico and Rosa Mendes with Shell Shock in a squash match.
* WWE Divas Champion and assistant to the SmackDown General Manager Eve Torres came out and joined the announce team for the next match.
* Layla b. Alicia Fox with the Lay-Out.
* It is announced that WWE Champion CM Punk will be in action later tonight against Dolph Ziggler, stemming from the events of RAW where Ziggler walked out on Punk during the tag team main event.
* Wade Barrett b. a local worker with The Souviner. After the match, Barrett talked about his unstoppable Barrage and said he awaits bigger challenges.
* WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz b. World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus via disqualification in a Champion vs. Champion match when Big Show came out and hit Miz with the W.M.D. After the match, Sheamus was not pleased and ended up taking his frustrations out on Miz with a Brogue Kick.
* Alberto Del Rio and David Otunga came out to the ring and talked about how Del Rio beat down Randy Orton last week. Del Rio kept mocking Orton until SmackDown General Manager Booker T came out on stage and booked them in a tag team match for right now.
* WWE Tag Team Champions Daniel Bryan and Kane b. Alberto Del Rio and David Otunga when Del Rio abandoned Otunga, which resulted in Kane hitting a chokeslam on Otunga, followed by Bryan hitting a headbutt off the top rope. After the match, the team known as Hell No continued their argument about who was the true tag team champion.
* Tensai b. Big Show via disqualification when World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus came out and hit the Brogue Kick on Tensai. After the match, Big Show was not pleased and ended up taking his frustrations out on Tensai with the W.M.D.
* WWE Champion CM Punk w/Paul Heyman b. Dolph Ziggler w/Vickie Guerrero with the GTS in a non-title match to close the show.
